Aquamarine is one of the most beautiful gems, named for the ocean, water, and sea. The purest colour of aquamarine is almost invisible, like water with a hint of blue. This stone is soothing and calming; it evokes the peace, tranquillity, and movement of the sea.  

As a symbol, since Greek and Roman times, aquamarine has been seen as a protector of sailors, fishermen, and anyone who works with the sea. This is such a calming, soothing, beautiful stone.  

I love aquamarine in its tumbled form; it has the feeling of a pebble that’s been moving and tumbling in the surf, polishing against sand for millennia.
