The Links That Join Us: Rachel Landon
Continuing our exploration of the women who wear our jewellery, we are very proud to introduce beautiful Rachel Landon, co-founder of the wonderful ‘Wilder Botanics’. Wilder Botanics is inspired by Rachel’s 20 years of clinical practice as a naturopath and herbalist. Created from 100% natural, organic, and carefully wild-harvested herbal ingredients, they offer a luxurious line of professional, holistic, therapeutic, high-performance, whole-body care. Wilder Botanics believes this holistic approach is a pleasurable balance for everyone, using centuries-old naturopathic techniques - keeping the methods and stories alive for generations to follow.
I was living in New York, taking various courses and working on improving both my physical and mental health, when I realised I wanted something more comprehensive. I felt called to find a program that embraced all natural health modalities, one that focused on caring for and empowering the whole person. That’s when I discovered naturopathy, which aligned perfectly, treating the emotional and physical body not as separate disciplines, but as one interconnected system. Through my studies, I explored nutrition, homoeopathy, herbology, and flower essences, gaining a deeper understanding of holistic healing.

Whilst seeing clients over several years, I noticed that they wanted to use herbs but were unsure of what these looked like or where they could buy good quality and organic. This is when I decided to create the first tea blends in clear glass, so our customers could see the whole herb and start the whole ritual of preparing a brew from this connection. I also felt there were stories, folklore, and traditions that still needed to be told. We added the Soaks and then our double-infused oils to the Wilder collection, and slowly, Wilder grew into its own apothecary.

My daily rituals are herbal tea making - big pots of tea that I drink throughout the day, dry body brushing every morning before a shower, Goddess Oil from the soles of my feet up towards the heart, not just hydrating but keeping the lymph supported and strong, and I don’t leave home without Phyto Radiance Day oil on my face.
My favourite herb has to be nettle for its nourishment, versatility and availability. Loving extracts of vetiver and rose geranium, their scent grounds me and helps to brighten the day. Rose hips are another that I’m drawn to, cold-pressed, in syrups and oxymels. This is another wild herb that is a gift. I take Wilder’s Sacred Drops daily, which contains organic Turmeric, Ashwagandha and Reishi. These herbs work together to help support healthy ageing. They are adaptogen herbs helping to protect the body from everyday stressors, they help to ground the body, and they taste so good! In Winter I add Botanical Saviour or Winter Love to this. At the moment, I have our Celestial Drops on tap, helping to keep my heart energy strong in these crazy times.
The first piece of jewellery that was very special to me, only because I was entrusted with it at 13, was my gran’s watch - a Cartier which was unfortunately stolen from my home around 10 years ago. After caring for and servicing it as an adult, I felt like I was more its custodian. A piece I would be devastated to lose is a cuff my mum bought for me for my 18th birthday, made of brass. It curves around my wrist perfectly, and I remember the shopping trip fondly - she bought it from an art exhibition at the Royal Exchange Theatre. I wear this piece every day.
I absolutely love Lapis - the colour and depth I’m definitely drawn to, and I treasure my two Lapis pieces from Pippa. I also have always worn gold, most probably inspired by my mum's heavy gold chain, which she always wore. I was gifted (by Pippa) my most precious piece: a labradorite on a gold thread, it’s never off my neck. The depth of the colours and the shape is so very special.

There's something about the energy that resonates from Pippa’s pieces; it’s the love and intention through the design and the making. I love how her pieces all have a story from different communities and cultures, with constant consideration to their skills as well as the communities’ livelihoods. There is something truly magical about all of Pippa's pieces; there's an alchemy there.
