Part 1 : India, Chapter 4: Meet the Jewels
Some of my favourite pieces we make in India are our wondrous amulets. Stones from all over the world journey to Jaipur to be cut and finding and choosing each one is such a special part of the process. We work with our master stone-cutter Om Prakash to create shapes and forms that feel beautiful and harmonious, and in tune with the rock.
I wear my amulets every day. It's a simple and pure way of keeping a meaningful, beautiful rock close to your skin, like a little talisman to carry with you.
I also love the incredible Tibetan rings handmade by master goldsmith Sushil. He too follows the natural shape of the stone, which sounds simple, but often the simplest things are the most difficult. I love that you can feel Sushil's hand in all of his pieces.
Our pieces made in India are meticulously handcrafted by talented artisans I've worked alongside for many years. It is a privilege to share their work with you.
