Alectrona
Alectrona, the Greek goddess of dawn, is the epitome of beauty and charm, responsible for the gentle transition from night into day, the sun’s first light. I chose Alectrona because when I look at opals, I sometimes sense that precise moment when the dark sky is touched by light, and blue shifts from indigo to turquoise.
This collection of Australian boulder opal is rounded, gentle, and feminine. We designed the pieces to allow many smaller stones to interact with light, revealing the opal’s shifting palette of blues. Alectrona features a range of designs: an open gold ring set with ten small opal pebbles, almost touching but not quite-our classic “almost ring”; a long cord necklace with opal pebbles like falling raindrops; and chandelier earrings that evoke the balance and movement of a mobile through complementary asymmetrical forms.
