Eman came to Jordan in 2015 due to the war in Yemen. She had always been passionate about handicrafts, experimenting with silkscreen printing, graphic arts, embroidery, and upcycling clothes and accessories. Having lived across Yemen, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and Jordan, she absorbed the richness of each culture along the way. When she joined the Turquoise Mountain jewellery-making course, she finally found her calling. 

She says: “When the opportunity to join the jewellery design and crafting program came to me, I felt I had found the field that brings together everything I love — art, design, and handwork — while also giving me a chance to express identity and culture. 

The program was a turning point for me. I learned new skills, my vision broadened, and I began to see the possibility of turning my passion into my own project and a source of income.”
