Part 3: Myanmar, Chapter 3: The Challenges

The challenges we face working in Myanmar are very practical things. Due to the conflict in Myanmar the country is very chopped up and divided, you can’t easily move the gems that are in Mogok, along with the gem-cutters who work there, to Yangon. Similar to Afghanistan, and everywhere we work, we feel a tremendous pressure to ensure that we make beautiful jewellery, with the best designs that will sell, and in turn keep people safely employed.
