Birds Lament
This collection is an ode to birds. Birds dart and flit across our paths daily, but we rarely stop to observe. A lament to birds is an expression of sorrow for the loss of habitat that has led to the dwindling number of birds in our world.
Birds come in all colours and sizes; as does this collection of gems, from flamingo pink tourmaline, parrot chrysoprase and canary yellow citrine, as well as the softer palette of aqua, green, lavender, and pink quartz.
The gems are hand cut in Jaipur with Om Prakash and are a new cut for us, a geometric and sharper edged facet, though still loosely following the natural shape of the rough material. These charm necklaces are paired with handmade 18kt gold chains and drilled drops of brilliantly coloured unset and free form gems.
