All metals and stones are natural and handcrafted to make each piece unique. Differences and flaws may therefore occur. Your jewellery should be cleaned using a soft toothbrush and chemical-free soap.
Gold Plated
We offer one free of charge gold re-plating for our gold vermeil pieces. Should you wish to re-plate one of our pieces again, please get in touch with repairs@pippasmall.com for a quote. Gold Plating naturally loses its lustre over time depending on its maintenance. To preserve the plating as long as possible, please ensure to be mindful of the following points:
Cord
All pieces featuring 100% waxed nylon cord should be kept away from water and/or other strong substances.
We also recommend your piece to be restrung annually and this is a free of charge service at any of our stores, just stop by and we will do it straight away for you. Alternatively, you can send your necklace to us with instructions and we will send it back as soon as it is ready, in which case postage charges will apply.
Alpaca Wool
Your 18kt Gold Bolivian Pebble is strung on woven, hand-dyed Alpaca wool. This material will soften with time, but to avoid the colour from bleeding, we recommend you do not bathe in these pieces. A worn and loved piece will eventually need to be restrung, and we offer this service in both our Los Angeles and London stores.
All stones require care to maintain longevity, as most can be heat sensitive and it is strongly advised to keep them away from strong substances.
Foil Back Diamond
Foil Backed Diamond pieces are delicate and require some care. We do not recommend you get them wet – especially fully submerged as this can damage the piece.
Opals
Opals are sensitive stones and should be kept away from extreme temperatures. It is not recommended that you bathe in them. They love to be worn and take moisture from the skin to keep them beautiful and iridescent.
If your Pippa Small piece is in need of repair please email repairs@pippasmall.com. It’s possible that it can take up to 12 weeks to mend depending on the type of repair.
